How Russell Wilson and Alaska Airlines made a winning road trip even better

For the 2019 season, Alaska Airlines and Seahawks QB Russell Wilson partnered to enhance the away game experience. Lucky fans traveling on Flight 333 received three times the reward miles, enjoyed gate-side entertainment and games, flew on a special 737 wrapped with a Russell Wilson decal, and received a slew of fun swag including an exclusive t-shirt.

As a Seattle-based company. it’s no secret that we are fans of our hometown team (and airline!) What a perfect task for Kotis – printing shirts, making pins and bundling them together for the surprise at Sea-Tac airport prior to a road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Upon boarding the plane, fans were greeted by a shirt on each seat, ready for the four-hour journey into enemy territory.

For years, we’ve been partners with Alaska Airlines, outfitting their company store and employees with dozens of shirts and branded items. When Russell Wilson was named the CFO (that’s Chief Football Officer) of Alaska Airlines, we began creating items for their partnership. Flight 333 was a great extension of this partnership, encouraging diehard fans to get off the couch for away games.

Even though boarding for this flight began at just 6:45 a.m., the energy was high just 24-hours before kickoff. With so many fans relying on Alaska Airlines for rides to and from games, Alaska took the step to make cross country flights a little less boring. Maybe, just maybe, the energy brought on Flight 333 was the difference on gameday, with the hometown heroes cruising back with a win
