High Definition Knitting
When knitting, the gauge matters (# of stitches per inch). A higher count provides more resolution for the design, which opens up new possibilities. Our machines are as high-def as it gets for beanies.

USA MADE
Made in-house,
for in-credible customization
and quality

When adding knitting to our in-house print shop, we not only set out to make a better beanie, but we wanted total control of the process. This allows us to improve on how we’re designing for the medium, our turnaround time, and even how we mix yarn for unique patterns. All to give you a better beanie.

USA MADE
Bringing knitting back to
the US, one beanie at a time

This allows us total control of the whole beanie creation process. All to give you the best and quickest beanie ever.

When adding knitting capabilities to our in-house print shop, we set out to make the best beanies… ones that match what you see in retail. Using specially designed knitting machines, the softest acrylic yarn, and a design team that knows how to design for the medium, we’ve done just that. With 4 fit options and endless decoration possibilities, there is a look and fit for everyone.

CONSTRUCTION
6 gores vs 4 gores,
why it matters

Check out a few beanies in your closet, notice how the top is constructed. Often beanies are made with 4 seams (called gores). This is a quicker, cheaper way to sew a beanie together. However it has trade offs. Put that beanie on… the seams often pucker up to form what some call mini “devil horns”. Instead, sewing with 6 gores provides a superior fit with a smooth shape across the top of your head. This is how we make our beanies… in line with the top retail brands out there. We sweat the details so you’ll love your beanie.

Poms

Who doesn’t love a fluffy pom perched on the top of your beanie. Since we make the poms ourselves too, we can get crazy custom with colors that match perfectly with your beanie… or take advantage of our plethora of stock colors for a bit of savings. P-OMG.

Yarn patterns

The magic of marling

Marling is when 2 yarn colors are mixed together for a nice textured look you’ve probably seen all over retail. It allows for cool color patterns that can bring extra style to your beanie.

PRO TIP – Is there a color you’re looking for that we don’t have in stock? Consider marling 2 colors together to create a new shade. The options are endless.

Rrrrib-it

Add some texture to your beanie with a 1×1 or 2×1 rib. I know you thought our beanies couldn’t get any softer, but ribbing adds a nice velvety hand feel as well

FAQ’s

You can use up to 6 colors from our stock yarn color list.

We have a plethora of stock yarn colors that should cover most of your needs (check out the approximate PMS colors listed here).

Another option is to marl 2 yarn colors together for a blended look. Learn more bout marling.

However, if you do need a specific PMS color, we can produce your beanie overseas in our partner factory. It’s the same exact beanie, but has a higher minimum quantity of 500 beanies.

We have a ton of fashion forward textures to give your beanie a unique and retail look (plus our designers love playing with different ways to use them for your brand). See our heathered yarns, how we can marl 2 yarn colors together, and all the other pattern options like ripple stripe and ribbing.

Using these patterns is also a great way to create a blended color combo that a solid color may not provide.

We use circular knitting machines, therefore a “jump line” is created when the knitting machine finishes a row and moves to the next one. However, this is not noticeable with solid color areas, it only shows up with a color transition. We normally keep the jump line on the side of the beanie so it’s less noticeable.

Acrylic yarn, import beanies are made from the same yarn as our Kotis made in the USA beanies
