Why Stickers

They Make a Statement
Adding a piece of vinyl to a laptop or water bottle is more than decoration – it’s a statement. Whether it’s social causes, a national park, or a memento from a concert, a placed sticker represents a part of someone’s identity.

They’re Fun
When a sticker shows up in a package, it’s like a shiny surprise, ready to find a home. Stickers are an active product, where we give the end user the freedom to stick it where they seem fit (some people choose one, some dozens).

They Stick Around
Think about where stickers are placed – laptops, water bottles, journals, all things that last a long time. Once a sticker gets placed, it’s there, and it can serve as a conversation starter or mini-billboard for months or even years.

They Finish the Experience
By placing a sticker on or in packaging, you can elevate the unboxing experience for your people. For retail brands, the sticker may be the first part of your brand a customer sees, better make a good impression.

What is your sticker for?
What’s the goal of your sticker? Is it part of your packaging? Will it live on your own swag or for the user to choose? We love helping you dig through the why behind your sticker to better guide what the best choices are for your project. Here are some examples to help. Your account manager is here to guide you as well.

General Use (Promotional)
Traditional stickers serve a variety of purposes: promotional/marketing, product announcements, and as a home for logos and slogans. Customize sweet stickers with your brand and let your message travel.

Packaging (retail)
Add some flair to your retail packaging – whether you’re a restaurant, a clothing store, or a brewery/dispensary, a custom sticker will bring your packages or products to life.

Heavy Use/Durable
Commonly designed for outdoor use for maintenance, safety, and warning labels, heavy duty stickers are meant to be a component of the actual product being sold.

Choose your adhesive

Removable
For traditional indoor, non-permanent stickers, a soft adhesive is used for wood, plastic, glass, and metal without the issue of residue. This adhesive is slightly stretchable and will not distort the graphic when being removed.

Permanent
For permanent stickers, a biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) adhesive is used, which hardens over time, giving stickers the best adhesion the longer they’re set. BOPP is water-resistant so it’s also used on consumable products that require refrigeration.

Size
Stickers can be made in a myriad of sizes. Below are some of the most common.

Circle – Small and inexpensive. Good for consumers who are collectors of stickers and like to stick them on their water bottles or laptops.

Hexagon – Popular among developers and perfect for laptops, smartphones, notebooks, etc. Bonus: can be laid out next to other hexagon stickers for a tile effect.

Rectangle – This business card size can be good for labeling or even a substitute for your biz card.

Square – Great for bigger promo pieces, outdoor lifestyle, coolers, ATV’s etc.

Large Rectangle – Commonly used for bumper stickers, labeling totes/recycling bins, toolboxes, water bottles, branding for larger parcels, larger labels, and warning labels (high tack?).

IN THE WILD
Where stickers like to live
It’s not just techies or college kids who love a good sticker. Construction workers sticker their hard hats. Musicians sticker their instrument cases. Breweries sticker their beer fridges. If there’s a flat surface and quality stickers, a lot of us are overcome with urge to decorate it.
